How This Platform Works

Each course here is built in a step-by-step order.

When you begin a course, you'll start at the first lesson and move forward—that way, you’ll always know where to begin, what to work on next, and how to keep making steady progress until you’re finished.

Menu Features & Navigation

Every course will have the same menu features and navigation, like this:

1. Home Icon - In the menu, on the far left, the home icon will take you to the home page for the course you're viewing.
2. Gear icon - In the menu, to the right of the home icon, the gear icon will help you adjust how lessons behave:
   1. Autoplay – Videos will automatically play when you open a lesson
   2. Autocomplete – Lessons will automatically mark complete once you finish the final video
3. Course Navigation - Courses progress in the order presented. An empty circle indicates a lesson is not complete, a half-full circle indicates a lesson is partially complete, and a circle with a check indicates a lesson is 100% complete.
4. + 5. Complete and Continue - There are two 'complete and continue' buttons on each lesson page:
   1. Bottom of Page: When moving through a course for the first time, use the button at the bottom of each lesson to continue. This assures all content has been reviewed, and you haven't missed anything important.
   2. Top Menu: This button is best to use after completing a course 100%.

Video Features & Navigation

In addition to the play and pause buttons, there are features for each video that allow greater control over your experience.

1. Rewind / Fast Forward: These buttons allow you to go back or forward in 10 second intervals.
2. Volume: This button allows you to control the volume.
3. Subtitles: Add or remove captions and manage the style in which subtitles are shown on your screen.
4. Notes: Take notes during each video lesson.
5. Settings: Control the quality and speed (as slow as .5x, as fast as 2x normal speed).
6. Miniplayer: Click this button for a pop-out version of the video, so that you can continue to scroll through a lesson to follow along.
7. Full Screen: Click this button for a full screen version of the video.

Completion Requirements

When a course offers a certificate of completion, a few progress rules are required:

• Lesson order is enforced - Lessons must be completed in the order shown.
• Video viewing is required - You must watch at least 90% of each video at normal speed to advance.
• Quiz completion is required - Graded quizzes must be passed with a minimum score of 75%.

Once all lessons are marked 100% complete—including the Post-Course Resources—your digital certificate will automatically unlock.

Having Technical Trouble? Try This First

If something isn’t loading or progressing as expected, try these quick fixes:

1. Refresh the page
2. Try a different browser (Chrome works best)
3. Clear your browser cache
4. Check your internet connection
5. Log out and log back in
6. Try a different device (phone or tablet)

Most issues resolve with one of these steps.
