Star Stitch Pattern Step-by-step Instructions

Row 1 (Right Side): Ch 16, draw up a loop in 2nd ch from hook and in each of next 3 chs (5 loops on hook), yo and pull through all 5 loops on hook, ch 1 (eye of star formed), *draw up a loop in eye of last star, draw up a loop through same ch as last loop of previous star, draw up a loop in each of next 2 chs (5 loops on hook), yo and pull through all 5 loops on hook, ch 1 (eye of star); repeat from * across to last, hdc in last, turn

Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), 2 hdc in eye of each star across, hdc in top of beginning ch, turn

Row 3: Ch 3, draw up a loop in 2nd ch from hook, draw up a loop in next ch and in next 2 sts (5 loops on hook), yo and pull through all 5 loops on hook, ch 1 (eye of star), *draw up a loop in eye of last star, draw up a loop through same st as last loop of previous star, draw up a loop in each of next 2 sts (5 loops on hook), yo and pull through all 5 loops on hook, ch 1 (eye of star); repeat from * across, hdc in last, turn

Row 4: Ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), 2 hdc in eye of each star st across, hdc in top of beginning ch, turn

Repeat rows 3 - 4 to continue working this stitch pattern.
